Series Bogbo Egun Ara Onu. Jorge Y. Salomón
The "Bogbo Egun Ara Onu" series is a deeply personal and emotional artistic expression of Salomon, an artist who, at the time of its creation, was going through a crucial transition period in both his personal life and his artistic career. These works, represent a journey of overcoming and success.
After the loss of his main buyer and friend Libia Cárdenas, wife of the famous sculptor Agustín Cárdenas, Salomón experienced a period of emotional stagnation. This stage of his life is reflected in the works, where through figuration he explores the themes of pain, loss and introspection. The works could be imbued with an atmosphere of reflection and melancholy, capturing the emotional state of the artist during this difficult period.
"The Roads Did Not Make Themselves" not only celebrates Solomon's work, but also invites reflection on the ups and downs inherent in life and artistic career.
