My Soul is Baroque #5. Jorge Y. Salomón

My Soul is Baroque, an abstract series by Salomón, is witness to the inexhaustible creative flow that emanates from his brushes, which have become almost an extension of his own anatomy. Little more than half of his three decades of life have been spent among pigments and canvases.

His restless character is transferred to his pieces, it is easy to contemplate him in his workshop where he breathes and spreads an intense creative spirit, the pathos that compels him to work feverishly and that seems to drink from a universal, inexhaustible nourishing source.

Jorge Yunior Gutiérrez Salomón was born in Mayarí, Holguín, Cuba, in 1987. He has worked in Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Photography and Performance. Artistic studies 2003-2007 Graduated from the Professional School of Plastic Arts "Roberto Diago Querol", Matanzas, Cuba, specializing in Painting.
